Revisioning the Framework

After four years, the 2020 UCalgary experiential learning (EL) framework needed expansion and contextualization, especially around the many spaces and places where EL happens. This updated framework integrates extensive feedback and conversations with the campus community.

This newly revised framework is intended to guide and support all UCalgary practitioners implementing EL and can be used to develop a common understanding of EL when we work with partners and communities.

In the spirit of community

The UCalgary Experiential Learning Plan provides a roadmap for expanding and enhancing experiential learning, including how we promote EL to students and partners.

Making experiential learning a cornerstone of the UCalgary experience requires commitment from the entire campus community and our partners. Our collective expertise and unique strengths are indispensable to advancing experiential learning across campus. It is only through a community approach that we can reach our goals.

Work-integrated Learning for Neurodiverse Students

Taking a systems approach, this initiative sets out to ensure UCalgary structure, environments, and programs create and support equitable and inclusive pathways to work-integrated learning (WIL) for neurodiverse students, thus supporting students thriving in WIL and beyond.
