Learning Spaces

Places we learn

The spaces students learn in can have an impact on their academic learning experiences. UCalgary is committed to ensuring our learning spaces are accessible, technology-enabled, and comfortable for all students across our campuses.

The Learning Spaces Team includes multiple internal units, including Registrar's Office, Teaching and Learning, Campus Planning and Architecture, and IT to ensure spaces are clean, inviting, and ready to support exceptional learning opportunities.

Learning Spaces at UCalgary

The Learning Spaces Team (LST) is a group dedicated to supporting learning spaces and connects the UCalgary community on learning space needs. This group formed in 2023 as one of the suggested actions within the ‘What We Heard Report’ from the 2023 Community Conversation.

On January 31, 2025, LST hosted the second community conversation. As part of an ongoing commitment for open dialogue on how the academic community experiences learning spaces at UCalgary, reports from those sessions are included here, as well as technology updates to centrally managed learning spaces.
